Urban planning
|
A smart and responsible approach to urban planning is, in our view, an integral part of an architect’s job. We strive to respect an area’s general character as defined by its history, its geomorphological and natural conditions as well as the social role to be played by future urban units. In the past twenty years, many areas have been spoiled by insensitive development, for instance by satellite communities – places with fifty identical plots, a single road and no facilities or social life. We believe that today no one wants to live like that anymore. |
Our urban development studies bring traditional, yet now almost forgotten social functions that make people feel at home. They do so through such fundamental elements as a town square, an arcade, public open spaces, parks and others. We want the residents of nascent neighborhoods to really live in their new abode, not just to sleep there.
