Villa U potucku

The villa U potucku (Czech for By the Little Creek) is a project that was born out of a fortunate combination of an open-minded client and a perplexing plot of land. The assignment was to design a house that would stand on a sloping plot of land near the center of Liberec and provide its future occupants with enough privacy and comfort. |
In view of the noise coming from a nearby road, we designed the villa as an elevated yard stretching between two masses. One of these masses is habitable; the other houses the amenities of the villa: a sauna, a summer kitchen, a wine cabinet and a place reserved for grandparents.
