House U Panny

Mr. and Mrs. Casa own a very pretty plot of land in the mountain range called Ceské stredohori (the Bohemian Low Mountain Range) and wanted to build a weekend house on it. They came across our House for Baletka in the press and took a liking to it. So they turned to us. That was a good start, because that meant they wanted a high-quality low-price no-nonsense house. Their request was that the house be laid out in a slightly more conventional fashion and offer more private spaces to the individual family members. To work on such an assignment was delightful. The house that we created is pure – the people in our architecture office quickly took a fancy to it – and our clients’ reaction to the resulting study was wonderful. |
We feel that the house for Mr. and Mrs. Casa is an elaboration on the theme that we started with the House for Baletka. The theme is: how to prevent architecture from driving you insane, how not to spend too much money and how to fulfill my dream of a life of intense communion with nature at a place that is mine and that I love. location: Homole u Panny, Czech republic
